Aldo Disorbo

Aldo's first Personal Computer
His "suspicions" led him into a search for a better computing machine. As a gift for his 14th birthday, Aldo received his first personal computer.

From that moment on, Aldo diSorbo spent countless hours trying to learn the mechanism that underlined this 'beautiful accomplishment of technology'.

With the help of an older friend, and under his guidance, Aldo installed two operating systems on the same machine. It was a new version of Windows and a trial version of Linux.

His programming under the Windows environment failed to provide the results he was hoping for, so he tried the same thing in Linux. "I was so frustrated and confused at the beginning. But after a week of no sleep, I finally realized what was it all about. And I fell in love," Aldo said once in a letter to a friend.
